Patriots going undefeated is not so easy

It’s been a long time since us, New Englanders have seen the Patriots go 7-0 (last time was back in 2007 were we went undefeated). This is a historic time for the Patriots as we are having high scoring games against each opponent that we face. So far we have yet to score below 28 points for any of our match ups. Things are looking bright for the Patriots now that we are more than halfway through the season, are currently leading our division and hopefully we can make it the second time in Patriots history going undefeated in the regular season. But it isn’t all easy points. Facing the Jets was a tough match up, where the Jets led us up until halftime and then we ended up winning 30-28. That proved that even if we can go undefeated, it most certainly won’t be easy. The Jets “Number 1 Defense” really did hold up and keep the Patriots on their toes, by preventing the passing game and having the Patriots rely a lot on the run game. In just 4 weeks, we will go up against a team who also shares the title for undefeated with us; The Denver Broncos. In case you didn’t see Sunday’s Packers vs. Broncos, it wasn’t pleasant. The Packers were undefeated until the stout Broncos defense kept Aaron Rodgers from getting even a single passing or rushing TD and he only finished with a career-low 77 yards. If this is any indicator of how the Broncos will play against the Patriots, they should be careful. The Broncos were able to put the brakes on such a gifted Quarterback like Rodgers so it’s scary to think what they have in store for Brady. We will also have to face AFC East rival Jets again, but this it will be in MetLife Stadium. Now if the Patriots can get through these two matchups and come out victorious, it’s easy to see them as going undefeated. However the hinge of making Patriots history will be determined by two very good teams. One thing is for sure, these games will not be easy.
