This past Sunday, Gillette Stadium was filled with the screams and cheers of thousands upon thousands of fans. Not only for the Patriots who are now 3-0 after blowing out the Jaguars 51-17, but also for a milestone that was completed in that game.
The milestone I’m talking about is Brady throwing 400th touchdown pass. Thanks to the reception touchdown by Danny Amendola late in the second quarter of the game, Brady is now the 4th quarterback in the NFL to complete 400 or more touchdown passes, joining the likes of Peyton Manning, Dan Marino and Brett Favre.
Unaware that he just got Brady’s 400th touchdown pass, Amendola gave the ball away to a fan, and when Brady was asked about it he chuckled and said “I don’t care. I’ve had a lot of fun ones, so Danny can do whatever he wants with it. Danny made a great catch.”

The fan later came back and gave the ball back so it can be displayed in the Patriots gallery so everyone can view it.
After the Amendola catch, Brady then added on a 13-yard touchdown to Keshawn Martin, making it his 401st touchdown pass.
When questioned about this major accomplishment of 400 touchdown passes, Brady responded, “it was a good day. I think everyone enjoyed it. It was a good team win. It was a good performance by our offense, a good team win. It was a good week of practice, and a lot of guys made plays. It was a great day out there.”
Brady continued to talk about the pass and the fans by saying “We’ve had such great support here over the years. Like I say, I hope we can give them something to cheer about out there. We have great fans, and it was great. It was special.”
Brady also has plans for where the team might go after this Sunday’s bye week saying “We have a break here, and we come back to work and see if we can make some improvements and try to get to 4-0.”
Brady isn’t the only Patriot setting records on the field though. Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski just set an NFL record for 423 straight point-after attempts. This broke Matt Stover’s record of 422.
The only time that Gostkowski has missed was back in week 17 of the 2006 season which was his rookie year.
With this team setting records and accomplishing big goals, it’s easy to see them make another super bowl run.
